Guess I am anxious to get this ttc thing started again. How long after your d&c did you ttc again? I guess I just want to get this started. I guess I am thinking as I type this and maybe i should also get the hsg done and stuff to get some of this testing and see whats next. Ugh, I am so impatient!!!!! What have any of you done and or should i post this elsewhere for those that have gotten pregnant after d&c?

Re: questions?? or opinions wanted regarding post d&c
I think most people have a period 4 to 8 weeks after their D&C. I'm not sure if the Dr would want to do the HSG until you have one normal period. I had a period about 5 weeks after my most recent D&E and I'm normally a 28 day cycle girl so it wasn't too off.
Did the Dr. tell you to wait to try? People certainly get pregnant right after they have a m/c so it doesn't hurt to try.
I'm sorry you are feeling so impatient - I completely understand. Its been six months since my m/c and seriously its almost a primal force that I just want to put something back in my uterus. (hugs)
Hi Kristin,
I had a D&C on May 5 and finally AF showed on June 11( 5 weeks later). My RE told me after D&C that he wasn't going to tell us to wait (I'm 42).
I'm usually a 27 day cycle so I'm hoping this next week will be our week.
Good luck!

I had my d&c 3 wks ago. Just out of curiosity, I POAS at about 10 days after the procedure and it still came up + right away.
I wonder if your
is left over hcg in your system. Either way, it can't hurt to start trying again.
At my 2 wk check up, my RE said we could start trying again naturally and once I got my period I could start treatments (injections) again.
I got AF 5 weeks post D&C. My doctor said to wait 2 cycles before TTC again which I did. Not sure if that was really necessary, but at the time, I wanted to be cautious. Waited 3 months and had an HSG, then we went right to 3 months of IUIs. I conceived naturally (both times), so who the heck knows if it would have happened sooner if I hadn't done the IUIs.
I guess if you're ready, then go for it!
