really? even though you have 3 sons, you still think you can relate to someone with infertility???

..Im sorry I actually LOL...like really? Maybe she means loss? I dunno. People come up with some doozies (sp?) don't they!

and then she tried to give me advice - you know, b/c she can relate!

I cut her off at that point and said "look I know you just want to help, but I am not taking advice from anyone who hasn't been through IVF". that shut her up

MIL strikes again!!! I am so glad you actually said that to her though.

My MIL said that too! She had a m/c as well.

Of course a m/c is very painful...but she doesn't have RPL or anything..she got pregnant when she wanted to. She literally (and I'm not exaggerating) hand-picked both my husband's birthday month and his sister's.

My MIL is generally awesome.  But even she was silly enough to tell me "you just can't plan these things" a few years ago when I was complaining about how IF has so screwed up The Plan.  The irony is that she DID plan my DH's birthmonth.  Went off the pill and got pg the first month.  Hmmm...
