It is official. 7 month break...first cycle back was going perfectly and bam! in the hospital having surgery, cycle canceled.
First post-surgery cycle...period shows up a week early. Call to schedule my baseline for tomorrow morning..the NP at the clinic that is closest to my house (an hour away) is out Thursday and Friday so I have to go to the main clinic (2.5 hours each way). Except I can't go tomorrow because I have my post-op appointment here and I can't go Friday because my assistant is out Friday on vacation and one of us has to be in the office. No if, ands or buts about it.
Another cycle down the drain.
And the following cycle won't happen because we will be on vacation.
Hell, before I know it we will be back on our 7 month break for DH's job and we won't even have had a chance during the time that we actually could cycle to cycle.
FML.

No, Saturday would be CD 4, so too late, and they don't do baselines over the weekend so I couldn't regardless.

No, I have to have my post-op appointment before they will let me cycle. They said they could do a baseline but they won't let me take any meds until my surgeon sees and clears me. He's in surgery all morning tomorrow...I already tried to move it up in the morning and to have my baseline in the afternoon.

I agree with Scooter and LMC - can you go either on Saturday or reschedule the post-op?
Also - I know a baseline should be in the morning - but would they be able to do it later in the day so you can fit both of them in?
I really hope there is a way!!!

Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!

After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
I can't go for a baseline on CD 4 b/c that would be Saturday and they don't do baselines on the weekend. Plus, I wouldn't feel comfortable starting stims w/o one considering I always have cysts and had 3 large follies that I didn't trigger last time.

No..not really. I asked my RE about it and she said she'd strongly advise against it because there are already semen issues and the integrity is compromised in the freeze/thaw process. Also, my local clinic doesn't store frozen sperm so I'd have to always be going up to the main office (2.5 hours each way) for those cycles. Unfortunately, DH's season is my busy season at work also, and I can't be away from work that much.

I'm sure they'll probably say I can have alcohol but considering I struggle with keeping Sprite down..I'm not so sure that's a good idea.
