What paints to use?

I want to make my dad and DH shirts with the kids' hand prints on them. I have no clue what paint to get for this. I want something that is safe, but won't wash off in the washer.

Any ideas?

Also, tell me if this is a cheesy gift!

    They definitely sell fabric paints at craft stores like Michaels. But, yes, that is really cheesy. TETO but I can't imagine actually wearing that. Sorry.

    I thought it was cheesy, but they actually wear their greatest dad and grandpa t-shirts. That's what I get for waiting for until the last minute!
