National Board Drama

Hey Jellisy

Maybe this happens often, I don't spend much time on the national board other than gardening and the biggest drama there is over pesticides, but someone just faked losing 3 babies.  So sad.  It made me think of Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolff?  Perhaps it is my own naivety, but I usually accept that what people say about themselves is true.

I haven't been on the national boards in a while.  When I was on there, I was always amazed by the efforts made to 'bust' people.  I don't understand the people who fake stuff or the people who make huge efforts to out the fakers.

I follow the national boards and I think some people take it waaaay to seriously. There is so much drama sometimes that it's painful.

Yes, unfortunately it happens from time to time. We recently had a woman on the photography board who claimed to have a son with a serious disease and then she claimed to have gotten pregnant with twins who also tested positive for the disease. She had three blogs set up where she explained all of her trials and tribulations. Unfortunately for her, she wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer and friended some people from Facebook who then figured out that her stories didn't line up. I've learned to definitely be wary of people on the boards with outrageous stories.

I rarely venture on the national baby boards - I do like What's cooking, MM, crafts and the book board if I need anything specific but the national baby ones can be crazy and it's hard to know who to trust.  I can't imagine what kind of person makes that kind of stuff up though, just sick.

Lol. Sounds like somebody who had way too much time on her hands. WTF is wrong with people?? Reading that thread def reinforced why I stay strictly on this board and the EFF board. People take advantage of the "privacy" of the internet to be completely psychotic and just straight up mean.

 Can I just say how much I love all of you on this board and your lack of crazy!!

Can you imagine what people could be doing with their time instead of faking a pregnancy on an internet message board? Crazy. 

I used to not care too much, but the photo stealing thing seems to be increasingly popular. I'm trying not to put up anything with C's face these days.
