Travel Question - when to buy tickets

We are flying to Louisiana for Thanksgiving. We're leaving Thanksgiving morning and coming back Tuesday morning, so that will help with crowds. Since there is not really any way to anticipate the schedule should I just buy the tickets now or wait till Cletus is born and get an idea of his/her schedule?

At a few months old babies are incredibly adjustable, buy the tickets that work best for your schedule.  It really won't matter too much to the LO.

Agree with pp - at 4 months you won't really have a definite schedule during the day. You'll probably have an established nighttime routine, though, so I wouldn't schedule a flight for after 5:00.

And even if you do have a schedule (BabyCrown was on one at two months, although DC messed it up completely), travel will mess with it.  When we flew to LA last year, I scheduled flights around BabyCrown's schedule (since he was nearly a year old), but with the excitement, and travel to the airport, his schedule got all messed up anyway.

However, once you're at your destination, try to stick to whatever routine you usually have, it makes such a big difference in LO's disposition while on travel!
