XP- How much would you pay

I posted this on 9-12 and most of the gals told me $100 PER EVENT.

However I don't think I explained that he would just take pictures. No editing, no printing, etc. Just all photos on a disc.

My friends husband, who is not a pro (just has a fancy camera), has offered to both take our pictures at a park one day (for about an hour I assume) and then take pictures at my son's 1st birthday. His family had already been invited to the party, I'm just asking him to bring his camera along and be in charge of photos so we don't have to worry about it and can get some family pictures. I would guess that the party would be about 2 hours.

She told me in the past he charged $100 to take pics at another party, but they were not friends and his family did not come with him. 

I do want to compensate him with cash, I just don't know how much and I thought $200 seemed a bit much but if you all agree then thats what I'll do!

I don't know. I do this kind of stuff for friends for free. Sometimes they buy me lunch. It wouldn't occur to me to charge someone to take picture at an event I am going to be at anyway. If I was a professional it would be a different story, though.

I think $100 is alot for the park. I think $50 is the most I would do for his time. If it's not something he does for a living, he just just look at it as building his portfolio.
