Poll: growth of BB

Okay, so we all know the "ladies" grow during the pregnancy.  Currently, my bras are too tight for me.  I got a larger bra over the wkend at Target (comfy and cheap), but I'm going to need at least one more (and possibly a strapless).  VS is having their semi-annual sale so I was going to head over there today... worth it?

Are they going to continue growing?  I started off at a 36d.  The cup ramained the same, but just went up the band size.  Opinions?!

THANSK!

  • I had a similar question about a month ago.  It seems like everyone's different and it just depends on your body.  Mine grew about a cup size during 1st tri, but have stayed pretty much the same. For some ladies, they grew again during third tri.  I just bought some cheap ones at Target, too.  IDK about buying VS bras that you may only be able to wear for a couple of months.

  • Yes, they will continue growing. I recommend getting a motherhood maternity bra and extender. I did this last week and do not regret it! Their extenders do not work on every bra but it was worth it to me. Totally. I started out as a 38D. Then went to a DD. And I am currently a 38/40E. Yes, E!!! E for Enormous. Which is what I told DH last night and he responded with E for Excellent. LOL. I don't feel excellent. I feel like a female gorilla with a big belly and huge boobies. I am between 38 and 40 because my belly is so hight that the front of the bra rests on it. The joys!!! LOLOL.

  • I actually haven't noticed much growth, but my BBs have always been big and I've heard larger-endowed women don't grow quite as noticeably during pregnancy (after is probably a different story). I started out a 34E (and yes, E is for Enormous and makes me want to cry) and I just got measured last weekend: 36E, or so the lady said. I guess my ribs have grown but the cup size is still OK for now. Bras that big aren't easy to find, and they're usually expensive, so I just suck it up and get one or two at a time. :(

I was a Kohl's a few wks ago, and they sell extenders (I'm sure other stores do too), and almost bought some, but noticed they had all sorts of sizes, so never go tthem b/c needed to measure my bras.

And the reason I thought about VS b/c I do like their bras for the most part, and they are on SALE now... I would never pay $40 for a bra I know I may only wear for a couple of months.  LOL  If I get a good deal I'll get ONE.  : )

  • Yes, they will continue to grow.  What I did was buy 2 new bras from VS - black and nude.  Before I was pg I was a D, then I grew to a DD so that's what I got.  Then when I continued to grow, I went to target and got extenders and they were awesome!!! That way the bras could grow with me and I didn't need to buy more.

  • With both pregnancies I have grown. Some of the "growth" stayed with me after I stopped nursing Quinn so I started this pregnancy with a 34C and am now easily a 38D/36DD (depending on the bra)! And, keep in mind that your "girls" will grow again once your milk comes in so you won't want to invest too much money in a good bra. I think the bra extenders are great and most of my bras for this preg. I got at Target.
  • All of your "E is for Enormous" comments are cracking me up!  I went bra shopping the other day, thinking that I might actually need a C for a change...  I got LAUGHED AT!  The sales lady actually looked at me and laughed when I told her I was trying on the 36C and 38C.  Then she handed me a 38B and told me to have a nice day.  lol.

(Please note that while the girls have definitely gotten bigger since I got pregnant, the 38B is still way too big on one side.)

I will now hang my head in shame.  lol

  • Also, a note on where to find decent bras for cheap, Macy's has most of their bras on sale for $19.99 this week and I like to check TJ Maxx, Marshall's, and Ross.  Sometimes it's a pain to sift through all of the bras to find your size, but it's worth it when you find a nice bra for $4.99.  :)

  • I love TJMaxx/Marshalls for that same reason.  I actually got one at VS today... it was 50% off, and since I have used the same model before, I'm happy w/ the purchase b/c I know they are comfy.  :)

Thanks for all the recs / comments!

  • I've had to buy bras twice so far. First 36B then a 36C and I got them from Kohls. Kohls usually has their bras on sales so you can get a good bra for between 14.99 and 20.00 bucks.
  • You guys suck!  I barely fit into an A cup.  Crying

It really depends on each person. I think most people's BB's grow but all at different rates and times. Mine grew in 1st trimester only with the last pregnancy and so far with this pregnancy!
