my friggin biological clock won't stop ticking!

i just had DD at 37 and i really want to have at least one more, DD is only 3 months and i would like to try when she is about 9 months or so, and daddy is not up for it at all, he thinks i am nuts, i wish i would have kids sooner, but that wasn't meant to be, and i would really like to wait 2yrs but with my age now 38, i feel like time is running out! Dad is only 31, not sure how to make him understand, he gets the whole age thing with me, and he wants many more kids, but he wants to wait awhile.

Someone please tell me that i have time and it will be ok to wait a year or 2. I feel like once DD passes the 9-10 month mark i am going to be really pressuring bf and he isn't going to be happy.

I am 36 and will be 37 when my baby is born.  I already told dh, we need to make the decision of whether or not we are having a second baby b/c ASAP we will be due to age.

Normally I would reassure you, but you know fertility drops as you grow older. We conceived DS no problem, and then it took us 15 MONTHS to get pg again! So, not to make you nuts, but you should try as soon as you get the green light... although you might want to wait till DD is a few more months old.

I am 38 turning 39 next month, and DH is also 39 and we are on #2!!!!

Oh yeah, I had the same feeling after DS was born!  It did take us a while to conceive, but our children will be 2 years apart, so that worked out well.  Both pregnancies, so far, very normal.  DS was born at 39, I am 41 now.   Good luck!!

I am certain that if everything goes wellf or me with this one (our first) we will be trying for #2 as soon as we can.  I'm 36 and getting pregnant was a piece of cake for us with this one (only tried for 2 months) but I doubt we'll be that lucky again the next time around. 

 We *think* we'd love to have 2 or 3 kids total, but we're just going to hope for the best.

We actually did wait for a couple of years. I had my son at 37 and am 40 now. This baby will be born around my 41 b-day.

if it makes you feel better, I know a LOT of people that were born when their mom was 39-40:

my little sister was born when my mom was 40

my husband was born when his mom was 40

my grandma had her youngest when she was 39

my mother was born when her mom was in her late 30s

all of them were perfectly healthy!!!!
