So DS just talks really loud

He got his hearing checked today and it's perfect.  He did so great and the audiologist we got was wonderful.  She talked on his level and was very encouraging.  Thankfully, we don't have to see them again.  Will his volume control kick in sometime?  He can whisper, but is just loud most of the time.
