I'm home!! The doctor was able to put in the transabdominal cerclage as planned (laparoscopically) and was very pleased. I was a little nervous since it's experimental but he is amazing at what he does. I'm at home now (2nd day) and on pain meds but doing well.
We are allowed to TTC anytime but will wait a couple of months to recover and enjoy summer (since we were locked in all last year!)

Laparscopic TACs get a bad rap but we're trusting our doctor. I'm tempted to start some kind of blog or site about our experience .
Re: home from cerclage surgery!
I'm glad that it went well! You should start a blog. I am interested in reading about your experience.
If you don't mind me asking - did your insurance cover all/any of the TAC?
They told me they never have problems getting them covered (probably because cerclage surgery is much cheaper than NICU baby!). I honestly didn't double check or into what % but I have great coverage.

My doctor couldn't do them previously but now he can because he uses the Da Vinci robot. There are advantages and disadvantages but he's a leading expert and thinks his is the way of the future. I loved that I didn't have to have a c-section (major surgery) when 12-13 weeks pregnant.
