Granted, I didn't get it until my DDs were over a year, but here's one of the great things abou it: With it, I can take DDs to a party by myself! I tried doing it twice before Ergo, and it was not fun. It's just too difficult to try and keep track of two mobile creatures. However, I've done it twice with the Ergo and it is definitely much more do-able. I just put one on my back and then I can either hold the other one or chase her around. Heck, if I can pass one off, I might even be able to get something to eat or drink. What a concept!

Re: I really love my Ergo
I really need to use mine more...
I haven't tried the back carry in several months but when I did try it I thought it was kinda hard to get them in there...any tips?
We have 2 and I hoped MH would get into using one but he has super inflexible shoulders so maneuvering kids & being able to reach the straps to tighten was an issue so he gave up before he started- I'm thinking w/ back carry he might be more open since the straps are in front that way...do YHs use it???
Yep, the Ergo is a baby carrier that you can do a front carry (facing you), back carry, and hip carry. Check out https://www.ergobabycarrier.com/. I got mine from mamabargains.com or a similar site a few months ago when they had a good deal on a couple Ergo patterns.
Getting them on my back is a little bit of a challenge. I'm getting better at it, but it's still a second of faith involved. I generally put my lighter daughter in the Ergo (she's about 19 lbs). I fasten the waist, pick her up and hold her on my left hip with my left arm (I'm right handed), pull up the right shoulder strap, kind of rotate her from my left hip to my back, using my right arm to guide her right foot into position, then reach back and hold her with my right hand/arm while I put the left shoulder strap one. Does that make sense?
DH hasn't used it, but I really haven't offered it. His waist is a little larger than mine so it would take a good bit of readjusting to make it fit him. Not to mention it's black with floral embroidery. :-) Also, he's seldom alone with both of them so many of the things I use it for aren't an issue (I wear one into a store while one walks or is in a cart, wear one and carry one at a party, etc). We do have a couple metal frame backpacks and he seems to like that. He tends to like the basic carriers and not the fancy ones I get. ;-) Good luck and happy Ergo-ing!

Sounds pretty cool! What makes it different from other carriers? There are sooo many to choose from. My Hubby and I have had an ongoing debate ever since I got preg, that I totally intended to get a baby bjorn. He said no way would he be caught with one. I told him he would rethink that when he was juggling a baby and a cart, etc. BUT, that was before we knew we were expecting two little ones. Since I will have MANY solo outings with two (DH is in the Mil), I need all the helpful gadgets I can get my hands on!
Thanks Keg, so much for taking the time to explain the Ergo
baby wearing is the best. i like my ergo but prefer my kokopax for back carries...regardless, wearing a baby makes going out so much easier. i cant imagine 2 babies and no baby carrier...i just dont have enough hands.
