My sister's IL's are real gems

So they came to visit for a few days for my niece's dance recital.   They came on Thursday and had planned to leave Monday.  That's all fine- whenever they visit my sister they don't stay long- just a few days.   well my sister got a really bad blood infection from a port she has in her chest and had to be rushed to ER Sunday morning.   My mom took her, so my BIL could stay home with the kids (my sister didn't want the kids waking up and seeing no mom or dad they'd freak out).  Okay so my sister ends up in ICU Sunday and Monday.   Monday, my sister calls her IL's and says "Where are you?"  her MIL: "Oh we left".  

Okay so here's what's wrong with this picture:

1.   You didn't HAVE to leave (they are both retired, could have stayed an extra day or 2 to help out with the kids.

2.  They didn't even say goodbye or even call to see how she was. 

3.   didn't ask "Do you need me to stay?"

So they have been calling my sister on her cell, but she won't pick it up. 

My sister says to my BIL "Must be nice that MY mom has to do everything, She picked up the kids from school, went to Sophia's awards ceremony at school, took care of the kids all day (while BIL was at work yesterday)."  My BIL was like "uhhhhhhhh".

seriously they could have stayed an extra day or at least offered.

That was really crappy of her in laws. I wouldn't be answering their calls either.

wow. that was pretty inconsiderate. My IL's get on my nerves quite a bit, but they'd never do that.

Ugg.  Very inconsiderate.  I would be upset too.
