I'm so glad they are doing these sorts of studies; hopefully it will dispel some of the hateful and ignorant myths about parents who happen to have alternative lifestyles.

My friends that are "gays" are some of the best parents I know.  They are much more tolerant, nurturing and loving.  I look to them as examples of how to do things right!

Our gay friends who are parents are great parents.  Usually they have had to jump through extra hoops to have a family (adoption, IVF, etc.) so in many ways they cherish it even more.  Just like that rest of us, they have their good and bad days.
