9 months and still not crawling?

How many of you have a 9 month old or older child that isn't crawling yet?  DD doesn't crawl, or army crawl.  She will rotate her body around to get to toys around her and she will scoot backward.  She hates being on her stomach, so after about 5 minutes she just rolls over.

 

Anyone else in the same boat?

Me. DD doesn't crawl or army crawl.  She doesn't even really scoot ...  

She can, however, almost stand without assistance.  Nothing like going right from laying/sitting to standing/walking.  WTH?

DS still doesn't crawl.  He lays on his stomach and screams bloody murder until we move him somewhere that he can pull up and walk.  I don't know if he'll ever crawl.

DS absolutely hated being on his stomach until recently and he just started army crawling about two weeks ago (he crawled for real on Sunday but is still figuring it out).  She'll figure it out eventually!!

DS started really army crawling at 9 months 1 week.  He crawled for real 3 weeks later.  For a while, we thought he'd go right to walking, because he has been pulling himself up for over two months, but he crawled after all!

some babies never crawl.

Gray and Griffin both crawled RIGHT at 9mo.

Gibby crawled at 10mo and frankly- i was shocked b/c he showed no signs of being ready to do it- he also hated being on his tummy at all - and then one day - he just did it!

Mine too....she is 9 1/2 months and has no desire to pull up, crawl, etc...  But she loves to walk when held and scoots in a 360.  My pediatrician says not to worry but I of course am

Also, when they learn to get up in the sitting position on their own do they usually go from stomach to sitting or from back to sitting?

DD will be 9 months next week and i know she won't be crawling, or standing, or doing anything other than turning 360 when she's on her belly. she's only just starting to show an interest in getting her booty up in the air.

It took my daughter up until 9 months and 3 weeks to finally crawl. I know the frustration.

Yeah, my 9 month 3wk old isn't crawling either... if you hold her hands she LOVES walking... but does NOT want to crawl at ALL!  I will be shocked if she crawls!

DS did not crawl until a week before he was 10 months old.  He is a speed demon now, but not walking yet.
