I felt a tad guilty because when I had my amnio I couldn't do my shots for 48 hours and it was so nice!
I notice I have to sit down to see my belly or the size I's get in the way, I hate my boobs! As long as I'm sitting down I have no problems, though not sure how much longer that will last since I'm starting to have problems seeing the bottom of my belly.
My ob now has me doing my shots on the same side each day and has me doing what he calls mowing the lawn. So I go up and down the stomach while slowly moving across. Once I finish on the other side when I go back to the original side it's all healed for me to start over. That seems to help but now that my belly is starting to get hard I do feel like there is less space to do my shots and I hate going off more to the sides of my stomach because it hurts so much!
lol @ 'mowing the lawn.' I totally thought your RE was referring to a different type of lawn, and I wondered how in the heck that made a difference. Ha. Don't mind me.
Yes, heparin for me. I tried going in a pattern at first, but it got all messed up because some shots bruise and some don't. So I just look around and pick a non-bruised spot. I can just see the top of my tummy too, and it's mostly a sea of light gray spots. I can't hardly see underneath my belly, even sitting down, but that's where there are less bruises, so I have Jeremy point me a spot.
I tried to switch to Lovenox, except while it is covered by my insurance, it would cost me $550 just for one month's supply!! Heparin isn't covered, and I get it for $170 each month.

Did you try the mail-in? I know even with heparin mine ran me $65 for a 3 month supply of heparin (which is what I'm paying for lovenox also) where if I bought it at Walgreen's or something the heparin cost me about $120 for a 1 month supply.
What are the plans once you have the baby? They are putting me on coumadmin which will be such a nice break from the shots. I'll always do the shots if it means a healthy pregnancy but this is just another thing where it would be nice if we could have a little break!
Yup. Mail-in was just as bad. Effing insurance. It makes no sense to me why the more expensive drug is covered and not the cheaper one. I have an HSA plan though,
I honestly have no clue what our plans are after baby. When I met with the MFM back in September, he said I'd do 6 wks of heparin shots after delivering and then baby aspirin the rest of my life. But he also released me back to my reg OB and I haven't even asked her about it. I should probably do that... I also want to know exactly when she wants to induce or if we can hold off on inducing until my body has some progress. I'm so afraid of a failed induction and having a c-section.
I wouldn't mind coumadin - it's generic form, warfarin, is on the $4 drug list at Kroger/Walmart/etc. But I don't think my case is going to warrant it?

You're doing heparin right?
