Best way to Spend 2nd Birthday

Hi ladies, we would really like your help on this one.  We are planning on taking the day off to celebrate DD 2nd birthday and we want to take her somewhere that she and DS (5) will enjoy.  So far we have thought of either Jungle Island, Lion County Safari, Miami Seaquarium or Miami Children?s Museum...  but not sure which is best suited for her...  What do you guys think?  Any other suggestions?

    I love Children's Museum! It's all about playing dress up and there are different stations (bank, hospital, firefighters, etc). I've never been but I've heard that Cool-de-sac @ Sunset Place is fun too.

    Thanks!  My son loved MCM around 2 1/2 but wasn't sure if DD would enjoy it as much now.  Cool-De Sac is also fun, kind of the same concept but in a much smaller scale (lmore like a chucky cheese, minus all the video games and screaming kisd..lol)

    MCM & Cool De Sac I think will be my best bet if it rains that day but.... We've never been to jungle island and DD has never been to any of the other SF attractions..  just not sure which is best for her at this age, I want her birhtday to be really fun and speical. 

    anyone been to any of the other outdoor attractions with a 2yr old lately??

    I wouldn't do Jungle Island for a 2 year old.  It's nice and all, but it doesn't grab my kids' attention the way some of the other places do. We got the membership this year when they were offering it for the price of one day, but I doubt we'll do it again next year.

    When my son was 2 and a few months, we went to Lion Country Safari and he loved it.  He loved looking at the animals from the car (and we loved the a/c), and then he loved the little "amusement park" that you visit after the ride.  They have a nice water play area, a few little rides, and that was enough for him.  We also took along some of his little toy animals, and he liked holding them as we drove past the animals.

    The Seaquarium is fun, and both my kids enjoy it when we go (they are 1 and 3).  We all got completely soaked last time at the orca show, and they were momentarily startled but both handled it really well and had a good time.  It's pretty much all about the shows, though.

    We are also members of the zoo, and we like that a lot, but it can get hot as all get out.  We stop at all the a/c spots (aviary, amazon) and the  sprinkler spots.

    I've never been to the Children's Museum, so I can't comment.

    We've been to all of the places you mentioned and all are lots of fun for the kids.  Out of all of them, I would recommend Lion Country Safari for your 2yo.  We took my son when he was around that age and HE LOVED IT!!  The safari ride is amazing the animals walk right up to your car.  Later on we fed the giraffes, visited the petting zoo, and cooled off at their sprinkler park.  What a great idea!  I may borrow it :0)

    I would do MCM.  I think that place is very suitable for toddlers.  Lion Country Safari is a lot of fun, too, but I'm not sure if the animals would be out and about in this heat.  IDK if it's just me, but it's so hot that I'd pick a place with a/c, lol.

    Just throwing another idea out there... it is going to be hot!  I'd prefer someplace indoors, or how about a water park?!  Rapids during the wk is prob not terribly packed, as school isn't out yet (assuming bday is this wk), or the water park by the airport (not sure the name).  How about the beach?  What kid doesn't love to play in water and sand!  LOL

    I would go to either Miami children's Museum or Wannado City because they are both super fun and air conditioned!

    Thanks everyone!!  Her birthday was yesterday and we went to Lion Country, which she LOVED!  We figured it was a great excuse to drive up there since all the other places are closer to home and we could do those any other weekend/special occasion.

    It was hot! but it was also surprisingly empty.   I was afraid since school was out there would be a big crowd but not at all.  We spent about 3 hours there and it was just perfect for us and the kids :)  We got to do everything the kids wanted, and even fed the giraffe.
