Who's transitioned to 1 nap?

If your LO has transitioned to 1 nap, how'd it go and when do they typically nap?  DS seems to be trying to make the transition, but right now he's just super cranky for the 2nd half of the day and ends up taking a super late really short cat nap.

i would not try to transition your son if he's acting that way -esp at his age.

our daycare transitions at 15mo- which was even a litle hard on Griffin back then.

the twins take 2 naps - and need them - if they miss one for some reaons it's HORRIBLE.  I wouldn't ever think of transitioning to one  this early- why would i want to give up that time alone??

He transitioned on his own around 10 months? 

He goes down about 3-4 hours after he wakes-up and it lasts about 3-4 hours. 

He wakes-up around 9am.  Goes down around 12-1pm and he wakes-up around 3-4pm.  Bedtime is around 8pm.  

Used to be 2 naps (each 1-2 hours a piece) and the first one was about 2 hours after he woke-up.  He was going to bed an hour later then too (9pm).

Oh, sorry, I think I was unclear.  I don't want to transition, but it seems like he's trying to drop his 2nd nap.  I've been getting him down for his first nap around his normal time, but he's refusing to take his 2nd nap until very late in the day (I think it was about 7 yesterday) and then it's just a cat nap and he spends most of the afternoon cranky.

Thanks!  Maybe I'll try pushing back his first nap.  I'm about ready to pull my hair out with him being so cranky for the 2nd half of the day all weekend and today.
