My milk supply seems to have decreased and I was wondering if there are any natural ways to increase it. I really don't want to take any pills as I already feel like I take enough so I guess I'm looking for food, tea, etc. Any help would be SO appreciated
Re: milk supply
Oatmeal is supposed to help. I just saw someone suggest brewer's yeast and flaxseed meal on oatmeal each day. There is also Mother's Milk Tea or Nursing Support Tea. The pills you take to increase supply are natural herbal supplements - Fenugreek, Brewer's Yeast, etc. You can massage your breasts while feeding. Pump after feeding for about 10 minutes to help increase supply. Feed on demand to get your supply up. Drink lots of water, eat well. Extreme dieting and exercise can make supply drop. But, moderate exercise is a-ok, from my understanding and experience. Cold medicines can also dry up your supply.
