stupid question about frozen bm

I took some frozen milk out today for my hubby to use while I was away...well now that my DS is on some solid food he didn't need to use the bottle(guess I know this for next time:) )

I only give him a bottle while I am away or if we are out so my question is....I am going to be out again tomorrow...can DH give him the bottle if it is 27-28 hours old?  It was totally defrosted around 1030 today (never got warm and has been in fridge all day long) I am leaving tomorrow around 1230-1 for work so he would probably get the bottle by 130-2....thoughts??  It wouldn't be any older than 28 hours.  I know 24 is the rule, but just curious if I have to dump this milk...TIA!!

Re: stupid question about frozen bm

  • I think that 27/28 is close enough.  I'd smell it and make sure that it smells ok and hasn't spoiled.  I'd try to feed it to DS.

Agreed. I think the milk is still good 24 hours after defrosting.
