Today started cd 39. It's been a pretty stressful week - topped off on Friday by finding out that I did not get a job I had interviewed for :-( My plan was to test this morning, but I just can't bring myself to handle a negative after the emotional roller coaster yesterday.
Am I crazy?? I keep saying, "I'll test tomorrow... feels like I'm going to get my period... I'm sure af is coming soon..." etc. I had a 38 day cycle in August, so I definitely wanted to wait at least until today. Now I'm pushing it off until Monday morning. Seriously... am I the only one that hates pregnancy tests because of BFN's?!?!?!
Re: CD 39 & Afraid to Test - Am I Nuts???
I'm sorry you are stressing! Take a deep breath. First off, I'm sorry you didn't get that job, that must have been a bummer! And now you may be pg? Wow. Stress! The only way to know is test. If it's positive GREAT! But if it's negative you could have O'd late b/c of the stress of the new job opportunity and therefore a pg test may be neg at this time but positive later. Or you could just be negative. You just have to bite the bullet and TEST! Either way, positive or negative, it will be okay! Best of luck! I hope you get your positive!
Oh, and to answer your question, no, you aren't nuts. I get like this too before I POAS!
(BTW, do you chart? That might be a better way to track your cycles and *ease* yourself into testing based on what your temps do and what to expect...good luck again!)
I think just about everyone here gets like this before having to POAS. I don't like getting the BFN...so I wait as long as humanly possible (for me) and I don't keep HPT in the house anymore...the BFN is just so harsh.
I agree with pp....just test!
after a few months of initial craziness i stopped with the POAS every month and never tested until i thought AF was late. I just had DD #2 a couple weeks ago, and when I got pg with her in Sept. 2009 I waited until I was a day late to test and even then i was afraid to because i wasn't having any symptoms at all, but i was prego. good luck on monday!
