XP: Post-Op Appt & FB Explaination (long)

(From Tuesday's Post-Op Appointment)

Incision looked great. He said there was nothing causing me to not get pregnant but glad the pain is gone now. So something got fixed. Lol.

I asked him were we go from here? Where is the line for him as to what he can do? When is it time to be referred to an RE?

His answer: " He has done all he can do. Now is the time." Sad

He has been such a great, sensitive, compassionate doctor to me. It makes me sad to leave him but I too know it's time. I have tossed around the idea for a while now just hoping that month would be 'it' and I wouldn't need the RE. BUT...now that it's here, I am ready.

The RE's next new patient appointment is sometime in August! Ugh! We only have one RE here and from reputation he's wonderful! I was put on the cancellation list so I hope to get a call before August. That just seems so far away.

Just wanted to give an update. Will report when I hear more. In the meantime, I think I am going to pull out the ol' thermometer and OPKs again....

My old BBT beeped and it drove DH nuts. Any recommendations??

This had been my post on the 2IF board a few days ago, I just forgot to update here. Oops...

Well I got a call later that day that my RE appt would be July 28!!! UGH!!

So the FB explaination.....I got a call today from the office that they had a cancellation! My new appointment is................................................

JUNE 8!!!!!

I am so stoked that I don't have to wait so long!!! (Told yall not to get your hopes too high, lol) Very exciting for me though! I have more in my blog, link in siggy, if you'd like to read.

Yay for getting an earlier appointment!  I have heard of great numbers for people getting pregnant in the few months after a lap.  It didn't happen for me, but that's because we couldn't TTC for 6 months after my lap (wasting my magic window...) since they found a spinal cord tumor as a result of having the lap.  I had to wait until after I had the surgery to remove the tumor before I could TTC again.  I hope the "magic window after a lap" works wonders for you and you don't have to wait much longer.  Good luck with your appt next week!

Hey Sunny. A spinal cord tumor??? That sounds terrifying! I lost my mother to a spinal cord injury, so things of that nature always freak me out! Glad everything turned out ok, even though you had to wait so long to TTC again.

As for the 'magic window', lol, I have proven to date to not be one of those lucky women. Maybe, just maybe this time it will be me! I am feeling a little more positive going to the RE this time.

Hi Fran, just wanted to let you that I am Mandy.  I actually left Dr. Harper's office about a month ago to be a SAHM.  It was a very hard decision because I loved working there and I hope to go back someday.  Caroline is adorable!

It is a small world!  I'm not sure if Fran has seen my post yet.  My best advice would be to listen to what he says, follow his recommendations, and stay off the internet.  So many people do internet research and get wrong information.  Dr. Harper is extremely smart and he is always up to date on all the latest studies.  Good luck!
