So, we decided not to go away for our anniversary this weekend. Instead we are going out to dinner tomorrow (still dont' know where). However, now I don't know what to get DH! Not that we follow the traditional gift giving guide, but for the 5th anni, the traditional gift is wood, and the modern is silverware. Any thoughts?
When Dh mentioned this to me this AM, I asked him if he needed a new wood (golf club), and he actually said yes. But I wanted to surprise him with the gift, and the club is something very personalized I can just randomly choose. Maybe give him a club cover and tell him he can buy the club to fill it?
He's also been wanting a watch for over a yr. He saw one he really liked at Costco a couple of wks back. It is silver, but more than I would want to spend (but we can afford it). I think this would be more of a surprise. I'd love to have it engraved too (sorry, saw SATC2 yesterday). LOL
Re: 5th anniversary
Girl, cheaper than Costco, no way! LOL Plus, I have 24 hrs to buy it... no time for too much researching. LOL Honestly, it is an amazing price for the watch. Costco has amazing deals!
Side note - He got an Omega about 10 yrs ago there, and the other day he was offered $500 more than what it cost him! He was so willing to sell it on the spot. LOL

All great ideas! Sounds like you have a lot of good options to choose from. I think either the club cover with a little card saying that he can buy the club (or even a gift card to a sporting goods store where they sell those) or the watch would be a great idea. Not sure if you were planning to get him anything for father's day, but if you spend a little more on the watch than you were planning to, you can tell him it's a joint anniversary and father's day gift.
Happy anniversary by the way!
Thought about this too! I think if I get him the watch, I'll just get him something small from the babies for Father's Day... framed u/s photo with a cute daddy book.
Thanks!
