anyone with reflux babies that struggle with BFIng

I am back to work now (for 1 1/2 weeks) and I have noticed that DD grunts, squirms, and spits up a lot more often with BFing than when she takes EBM or formula from a bottle. She is more upright when eating from a bottle than nursing. I just haven't figured out a better way to hold her nursing that puts her more upright. We r having latch issues now too (I guess because of the frequency of the bottle and the speed of the nipple...even the lowest flow). Anyone have this problem and fine a way to solve it?

I may switch to EP if I can't figure this out.

Re: anyone with reflux babies that struggle with BFIng

  • DD had reflux and I would nurse her using a modified football hold. I sat her next to me and propped pillows behind her so that she was pretty much sitting upright. I also found that it was easier for me to correct her latch in this position. I could see more of what was going on.
