Please help! DS screaming with DH.

Our son is usually very chill and happy.  Last night, DH picked him up from my ILs' (they are our DC) and brought him home before I got home from work (which he does twice per week).  DH called me when I was about 10 minutes from home and said our son had woken up (he had been asleep in the car) just hysterically screaming and crying.  I rushed home and could hear him from outside our house.  DH said he'd been inconsolable for about 20 mins:  he'd tried singing to him, feeding him, checked his diaper, rocked him, etc.  As soon as I picked DS up, he stopped crying and was fine for the rest of the night.  This has happened twice before, but last night was by far the worst.  I feel so bad for DH and sad for our LO that he can't be comforted by DH now.  Any suggestions about what we can do to help our son be happy with his daddy again would be much appreciated.  TIA.

We had this problem for a little while. I am breast feeding so she probably responds to me for that reason. What I did was have DH watch how i move when I am soothing her. Bouncing and twisting. When he started imitating my movements DD seemed to respond well. It's worth a try right?
