I didn't wear them w/ DD, but only because they're not entirely comfortable for me. Also, I'd be concerned with having a really long labor and then having them get uncomfortable.
I am also going to attempt an unmedicated childbirth (again) so I know that during labor, I'll probably be a mess... I'll also want to be in and out of the shower, etc. and I don't really want my contacts to be a distraction.
I don't think that's a silly question to ask your OB at your next appointment, b/c he/she probably has seen it all.
I am a contact wearer...glasses only at night. I was told that we will have to wear our glasses in case something goes wrong during the birth and we have to go into surgery. Not sure if that is standard practice or not.
