When did your doc start doing internals? I remember with my singleton it was each week starting at 36 weeks. When do they typically start with twins? My c/s is scheduled for 7/12 at noon so I only have a few more weeks - possibly less.

The only internals I had were when I went to L&D for contractions. Never had any at my regular doctor's appointments. I also had a scheduled c/s. I did have u/s weekly towards the end and they would check my cervix. Don't know if thats b/c I was high risk for several reasons or if thats the norm.

I just asked my Dr. this exact same question last week and she told me not until 36 weeks.....thank god!!!

It depends on your doc.  My MFM did them at my regular appts if they could not get a good scan of my cervix via u/s.  Some doctors consider it to be too risky - as in it may start labor - while others check to make sure that nothing is going on.

My OB started checking last wk. so at my 33 wk. appt. and then I am going every wk. now. Last wk. and this wk. I was 1 1/2 cm. and it was crazy painful!
