Seriously, twins are EVERYWHERE I turn

This weekend I was stocking up on diapers at BRU and joked with the cashier about stacking coupons and needing to save every dollar due to twins.  The lady paying next to me says "I just have to say good luck to you...I have twins." Gee, thanks for the support. 

At the community pool on Fri and then on Sat were two different set of twins.

My boss's wife's family has lots of twins.  My boss's boss has twins.

I've spoken to three diff people just commenting on my pregnancy that had twins or whose daughter has twins. 

It seems like they're everywhere.  Is it just that I'm more alert to it now?

I think it's probably that  you have a more vested interest in it now.  : )  I feel the same way!

You probably notice them more. But also whenever I tell people I have twins they volunteer that they have twins, they are a twin etc. Whereas before no one would think to mention it out of the blue, now it is relevant.

I agree, I never realized how many twins were in the world!  Every time we go out there are a couple people who tell us they have twins (usually older people who have grown twins).

You probably notice it more, but people who have twins are probably identifying with you now because of what you have in common.  DH and I feel like whenever we're out with the twins people come out of the woodwork to tell us that they have a twin brother/sister or that they have twins.  We realize these people wouldn't be bringing it up (or even talking to us at all)  if we were just out with just one of the babies (or just DS#1), but they do now because we're a part of the multiples "community."

where do you live?  I'm in NJ which is the top 3 in states for multiple births (tri-state area= most common, NY, NJ, CT).

literally- they are everywhere here.  when i go to the mall i see at least 2-3 sets if not more.  At BRU the other day - there for 10 minutes- i saw 2 sets +mine and a woman pg with twins.

That's so true!   I see twins everywhere, or someone tells me they have twins, were a twin, etc.

It's kinda like when you're shopping for a new vehicle, you see it everywhere.

I think its just because you are more aware now.  My OB informed me that he has two sets of twins!  He never would have told me that unless I was having twins because otherwise it wouldn't even come up.  Now that I have twins though....I always see other sets of twins or people come up and tell me about their twins, etc.
