NBR: My Dog gave me an ear infection!

Yes, another dog story!

Yesterday I was on my parents deck, watching our dog jump in and out of the pool playing fetch, one of the times that he jumped, he splashed and got water in my right ear - strangly enough, it was the ONLY place where water hit me.  After that, my ear started bothering me - I went to the Dr. today, and I now have an outer ear infection.

 Strange, huh?

So sorry! I once got an eye infection from a cat-never thought that an infection could transfer from an animal to a human like that!
  • Wow, that is crazy! I wonder if you had something brewing and the water made it worse, or if it just happened when you got splashed! Hope it clears up quick!

Off subject, I wish my lab would swim.....he is afraid of the water (all water, even the hose)Huh? He is black, and he likes to bake himself on the driveway in the sun......weirdo.

Hmmm....that is strange...has he ever played w/ another dog that did like water?  Sometimes that encourages him to go in.  That is weird though to hear about a lab that does not like water.

We had a friend who had a black lab that was also scared of the water, but not to the same extent.  He wouldn't go any deeper than just below his belly.  Not even to get his ball - which, omg, you could never get away from him.  He was adopted from a shelter, though, so not sure if something happened when he was younger to cause it, or if it was just the way he was.

And Tab - sorry about your ear - I hope it clears up soon!
