Since Sunday, Jana has not been wanting to eat. We started oatmeal cereal on Saturday and pear babyfood yesterday. She has so far only had one feeding a day (at night and very thin) with the cereal. And just a few bites of the pears yesterday. She is at "daycare" right now so may have had another bottle w/cereal and was about to get some more babyfood. This doesn't seem like enough to be affecting her BM intake. She also has a lot of sinus drainage (which usually makes me sick to my stomach), so do you think her belly is just "full" from drainage? I don't want weaning to start prematurely!!!!
Re: 5 month old not eating?
Based on what you said you're giving her, I wouldn't think the solids are filling her up that much.
As they get older all sorts of things can disrupt nursing for a short period of time. Maybe the sinus drainage, maybe teething, maybe she's just distracted and doesn't want to. Usually it's short term.
Is she BFing at all?
