Sleeping in Car Seat ?

Our DD has been STTN for 3 weeks now but only in her car seat.  Our pedi recommended that we try putting her to sleep in the car seat when we explained that she wouldn't sleep for more than 10 minutes at a time in her crib.

But now I found some info online that says sleeping in car seats can be dangerous for babies.

Does anyone else let their LO sleep in their car seat at night? I'm afraid to put her in her car seat tonight after reading a couple of things, even though our pedi told us it is fine to do.

I think it is kind of weird the pedi would recommend that.  DS only sleeps in there when we are in the car or he is in the travel system (stroller).  I can't imagine having him sleep in it all night.  He gets pretty hot in his carseat and elevated temperature increased risk of SIDS.

I would think it to be a risk too, but who knows.

Look into the Nap Nanny, it's expensive, but it's about the same incline as a carseat, and it's the only place DD will sleep. It's saved us LOTS of sleep.
