Circumsized penis?

DS was circ'd on monday (5 days ago) It looks pretty good but the head is still red. Can I start to point it down so he doesn't leak out of his diapers? I just assumed we're not supposed to touch it until all the redness is gone. 

We have 5 leaks yesterday and me thinks it's bc we don't touch his penis and it is always up (then pees out the front)

Our sons stayed red for a little while, as long as the SWELLING doesnt look like it has suddenly increased im sure its fine. If your really concerned it doesnt hurt to call the dr.

We saw the doc 2 days after his circ and were told to go ahead and start treating it like normal and just put a little A&D on it after a diaper change.  We were never told to keep him "pointing" up.

This. And if your doctor told you not to use gauze anymore I'm sure it's fine to touch it briefly to point it down as you fold up the diaper. At my baby's first doctor's appointment the doctor gently touched it and moved it around, so I'm sure it's fine to touch it briefly.

We were told to just use Vaseline on DS post circ, no gauze, so whenever I put the Vaseline on I would also point him South!

Always pointed it down.

We never have pointed him down and have never had a leak. We used the gauze and petroleum jelly until we were told not to by the doctor.
