The current top running boy name on my list is Atticus. I need middle name help though. I would like to go with a J middle name so that he could go by AJ if he doesn't like Atticus. At the same time, I want a good mn so he could go by that if he doesn't like Atticus or AJ. I was thinking Jeremiah, because I have liked that name for awhile, but given the above criteria, I'm thinking no. Suggestions?

I like the simple middle names that others have suggested such as James, John and Jude. I am not a fan of Jude personally but I think it goes well with Atticus.
On a side note, I have seen this name a lot on this board and I am just wondering why it is suddenly so popular. I do know one Atticus, but myself am not a fan. I was just wondering because it seems interesting to me how a name suddenly appears and becomes popular....say Harper for girls for example. The only Harper I know is an old man in his 80's. Do you think it is from TV shows...has a star named their babies these things...or is it all just coincidence? Ok sorry to steal this post. The trends in baby naming have always been interesting to me!

I think Atticus Jeremiah is a bit of a mouthful.
Maybe stick with a one syllable name like John, Jack, or James.
I would say if you're worried about him not liking Atticus... which he likely won't... just give him a different first name.
Atticus is not a name for a child... it reminds me of the prison Attica.
How about Adam? It has the same beginning sound without the horrible -icus at the end.
