I wanted to punch my friend in the head today. She always talks about how she is "Christian" and her faith and all that..... Well today we are out at lunch and there is a spider, minding its own business, strolling along the floor. She says "ick, I hate spiders". I tell her leave it alone, its not hurting anyone. She looks right at it and squishes it dead.
I know its totally stupid, but I thought it was "thou shalt not kill".... like, kill ANYTHING, not just cute things. It drives me nuts when people kill bugs just to kill them..... its one thing if they're on you or whatever (mosquitos have it coming!) but to just squish something that wasnt hurting anyone.
IDK.... I guess Im just being dumb.
Re: squeezing in a FFFC
I feel you.
I eat meat, but actually killing things myself weirds me out.
Thank you! I tried vegetarian once and turned yellow - Im majorly anemic and keeping up with the iron and protien is hard for me.... but I really try not to think too much about where my meat comes from and eat meatless as much as I can.
I just dont see how people can think stomping on a spider is ok, but if someone were to come and stomp on their beagle, its not. How come one life is valued above another?
Hey, killing is killing.
I am sorry but this made me laugh. Thank you, I have had a bad day. You should of shouted "thou shall not kill" when she did it
