DD's daycare is closed on Memorial Day but we still have to pay for it unless we put in a request for an unpaid day off from her daycare.  (We get a certain amount of days off where we don't have to pay per year (just like at a job and vacation days) except we're paying them). 

What's up with that?  They get to charge us for a day that they're not even going to take care of her?  All because they call it tuition....... RIDICULOUS!

My work pays me for Memorial Day. So I guess I dont see a problem with paying my daycare for a holiday.

Ours is the same - I don't think it's much of a deal, because I'm getting paid to take the day off work...

yup, most all daycares do this....heck, I kept Leighton out for a whole week because she was sick and I still had to pay for the whole week...just part of it!

My daycare pays the employees for the day off. My works pays me to be off... so to me it makes sense.

yup me too....it's just the way it is!! They have bills to pay too!
