My FFFC...Oh boy!

Before I go to work, I'm spilling my confession about work.

I think that about 90% of nurses who work in ERs and at Children's are so annoyingly full of themselves. I hate dealing with them on a professional level and it really irritates me to hang out with them personally when they start jabbing about their job!! I just feel like saying... "Yes, I know you think you are very important, thank you for that update". I've worked in both an ER and at Children's (in med surg) and my chronic care job is harder and I promise I won't tell you all about it, because I know you really don't give a shiiit!  Phew, I feel better!

  • My best friend is a pharmasist and does the same thing.  I know it is a very important job and I understand you have to work holidays because it is an important job.  I get it.  Get over yourself.  BTW, my mom is in a nursing home and the people who take care of her are amazing. Thank you for doing a very hard job.

  • My FFFC....

Yesterday's dinner needed rice.  I procrastinated starting the brown rice all day until it was too late...so I stopped at the Chinese restaurant and bought a quart of white rice.

I think being extra helpful and caring in a kids unit/baby unit is easy (and emotional for sure).  But I honestly think that the best judgment of a person is how they treat the elderly and chronically ill.  I worked in a residential nursing home and you can see in those patients eyes how much they respect their nurses.  It's especially important, because at least half the time, when those patients enter that atmosphere, it's likely to be their last home.

  • I don't do this often so they might have accumulated up, lol. First: I don't know why or how my friend thinks it's ok to give her 6 month old grape jelly and/or Ice cream to quiet her down. ( ok maybe this one is more of a vent as opposed to a FFFC) Second: there is one particular that drives me bsc. She never has ANYTHING positive to say. Every post is bitching about something, her sick kid, her mom, her husband, her job, you name it she has bitched about it. Yet, I still read every one of her posts hoping that maybe today or this time she has something good to say. But nope, never. I really have to hold myself back from being a snarky ***. I hate when all people do is ***. Oh, and Parker has slept with a blanket since the day we brought him home.

My FFFC isn't really flame worthy, but I actually like changing poopy diapers...it is almost like a sense of accomplishment. I know call me crazy...but then again I also pick at peoteple eth for a living.
  • When ever I hear someone talking about how they are past the age of retirement and still have to work...it kinda makes me sad. and when I hear someone talking about being past the age of retirement and still working because they are board doing nothing...It makes me mad. Get a hobby and let people who actually NEED a job to live take that job. lots of places need volunteers if you need to do something that gives you a feeling of accomplishment.

    HAHAHA. I love this one!!!!

  • I hate my best friends wife! Aghhhh I have never let that opinions slip out, she is a know it all b!tch and always tells me how to take care of my son, you know because she has one child she knows EVERYTHING. That's the vent that leads up to the confession that: I lie all the time to get out of hanging out with her, my bestfriend just thinks I am super busy and I am not. Just don't want to be around his hag. But if he ever wanted to hang with us without her I would drop all my plans.

I have a couple of pharmacist friends as well and I think the same thing.  I know you went to school forever and have an important job, but you work at Walgreens.  Get over yourself.
