fathers day gift?

So I usually do a combined gift for DH's birthday and fathers day cause they are a few days apart.  I can't decide between the ipad or a beer of the month club.  Any suggestions for how to pick??  The ipad is a lot more expensive but I could use it too!  But we are trying to watch our spending cause we want to build a house next spring.  Please help me pick.

Beer club.  Your second to last sentence sealed the deal.  No need to spend extra money on an ipad when you are trying to save.

DH's birthday also falls a few days from father's day! I am doing the iPad because he travels on long haul flights so much.  Good for reading with the kindle app!

ETA: I would only do the iPad if you already have your efund filled, don't have consumer debt, and have a savings plan outlined for your DP on the house.
