I noticed your food restrictions on a post from yesterday. What in the heck do you eat???
I avoid dairy, peanut and tree nuts. I am thinking of avoiding soy because, although she isn't allergic, she has eczema and the area around her mouth is always bright red. I am wondering if the soy is causing it?
I just want ideas on what I can eat! You are a good woman for being able to avoid all of those foods! Good work!

LOL! That's the question I get the most. Basically I have to make everything I eat. I can't trust packaged products or restaurants. And I hope to add some of those foods back in once my DS's pedi GI lets me challenge test some of those. Oh, and I love cookingallergyfree.com.
I eat a lot of rice in all of its forms. Here's a sampling:
My typical breakfast is rice cereal (it's a hot cereal like oatmeal) with fresh berries, honey, cinnamon, and a couple links of an all natural breakfast sausage. I like Applegate Farms because they're really forthcoming with allergy info. But you just have to double check labels all the time and visit manufacturer websites.
For lunch, it's usually rice and chicken (Whole Foods rotisserie chickens are allergy free) or a turkey burger patty (also an all natural brand that doesn't add much to their meat). I usually also have a salad (homemade dressing; bottled pretty much all has soy or suspicious ingredients) or sauteed spinach or some other vegetable.
Dinner is similar to lunch. Last night I made meatballs with ground turkey, some spices, and golden raisins. I served it with sauteed mushrooms and rainbow chard.
That is great! I have had Enjoy Life cookies. They were good!
I need to learn what ingredients to watch for if I am going to avoid soy. I eat a ton of it, so cutting it out is going to be really hard for me. Thanks for the input!
