Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Do you still feel kicking?

I swear I still feel like a baby is kicking inside me!  It gets worse every day.  I wound up even taking a pregnancy test yesterday just to make sure.  Just FYI - I EBF and haven't had a AF yet.  Anyways, the test came back negative!  Anyone else going through this?

Re: Do you still feel kicking?

  • Oh my god YES!!! I seriously thought I was the only one!! I don't know what it is, but it feels EXACTLY like kicking! I know I'm not pregnant, so it can't be that! Maybe just phantom kicks :)

  • Those phantom kicks are always so weird! Even the other day I had one little flurry- not gas but must've been something moving around ;) Still makes me smile though- I so loved feeling my kiddos moving around!

  • OK, I had to Dr Google it...apparently it's normal. Just muscle contractions or something.
  • I'm just glad I'm not the only one.  Big Smile  My husband thinks I'm crazy.
  • Omg! I thought I was feeling kicks too a few days ago! Good to know, I'm not crazy!!

omg! me too! i really thought i was losing it!
  • Yep, I had it quite a bit right after the birth, and then it was gone for awhile... and then I had a couple in the past few weeks. I was also like "Is there ANY chance I'm pg?!?" But of course I am not. I guess everything is still slowly shifting back into place inside there.

  • Count me in on this club.  It is so weird.  In addition, my brain still thinks there is a baby in there as far as being protective.  Sometimes, I'll catch myself doing the following:  second guessing laying on my stomach, hitting my stomach on things (corner of the bed, shopping cart), stepping into a hot shower and avoiding the water hitting my stomach.

  • absolutely! I'm on BC and we use a condom everytime, but it still makes me wonder!

I do this too! Isn't it funny how the instinct takes SO long to go away?

  • OMG, I thought I was the only one, too!!!  Whew!
  • I thought maybe I was going nuts...glad to know I'm not the only one!
