overachieving boob??

Okay ladies, help me out here please!  One boob seems way more productive than the other.  We give DD one bottle a day.  So when she took her bottle a few hours ago, I pumped.  Now, 2.5 hours later, one boob feels practically empty while the other is VERY full.  Is this normal?  Is there anything I can do to help "fix" it?  I'm thinking I should feed on the smaller boob to help get it going, but then the overachiever will become painful.  Any advice is much appreciated! :)

Re: overachieving boob??

  • I've had this problem since DD has a month or 2 old and didn't do anything about it. I've just been walking around lopsided for a year Smile

The weird thing is that all of my clogged ducts except for the one I got last week were on the lazy side.

  • I've got an overachiever too.  I don't have any additional advice - feeding off the smaller one makes sense, but maybe just relieve the engorgement in the bigger one so it doesn't get painful?

  • I have the same problem. I stuck to my pumping schedule and eventually the overachiever would feel less engorged even though it still produces more milk.
