Update: Going back to the GI Dr today...

Well, we just got home.  Zane has lost more weight...since Friday.  He goes Thursday for an Upper GI and an ultrasound.  Next Tuesday he goes for a swallow study.  In the mean time he is now on Neocate formula.  It's just about as expensive as it gets.  Thank God the State of Texas just passed a law mandating that insurance companies pay for it.  Phew!  If, and that's a big IF...they find nothing on the scans and he's still spitting up and losing weight, we have to have a tube inserted so that he can eat that way.

  • Hope the scans and the swallow goes okay.  I can't imagine what your stress level must be like at the moment.  Please know that I am thinking of you and praying for Zane.

Let me know if I can do anything!

  • Is he projectile vomiting?  This happened to my friends baby and a ultrasound showed he had pyloric stenosis - a simple in and out surgery and he was good as new.  It is where the food can't go down because of a muscle malfunction in the babys tummy.  It usually shows up between 2 mo and 6 mo.  Her baby was really dehydrated by the time they figured it out.  I will be praying for ya'll.
