Why are some product reviews so irritating?

I like the option of writing and reading reviews for products I've purchased or am interesting in purchasing.

It drive me INSANE when people write a review for a product that they have yet to receive or have yet to use!! How can you write a review for some you don't even know you like or not! Stupid stupid stupid!

I get annoyed when people review recipes and give it awesome ratings, then I find out they have changed every ingredient or added something else.

Btw, that sig picture is priceless.  So adorable!

That bugs me too. Or the ones that say, "I gave this to a friend for her baby shower and she liked it." Not really helpful!

I hate stupid people who write reviews. I was reviewing some bedding I wanted to get, and one idiot gave the product a bad review because the plastic bag the bedding came in was torn. Really? How does that have anything to do with the product itself? Ugh.

Me too!!!  People give a recipe 5 stars and then say that they substituted 6 of the ingredients and cooked it in a different pan at a lower temperature for twice as long, or something equally as stupid.  Grrrr!

I also hate reviews for restaurants or places that provide a serve and the OWNER writes a review with 5 stars. Got to be kidding me!
