How to get her to nap w/o a bottle ??

Sigh... I'm getting exhausted. To be brief, our situation is a little unique (DH is working out of state so we're "home" for 20 days, then visit him for 10... repeat...repeat...repeat..) DD seems to sleep best at home, but even there her naps are almost always initiated by either a feeding or a walk in the sling. How can we start to circumvent this?? Any advice much appreciated..

have you tried just waiting until she's tired and laying her in her crib while the room is dark?

I just tried this out of the blue one day with DS and it worked.. now all i have to do is lay him in there and he goes to sleep as long as the room is dark

  • Honestly, I don't know if she *gets* tired. It's like she's so stimulated that nursing/bottle or a walk distracts her enough that she'll realize she's tired, but I don't see the signs (eye rubbing, fussiness, etc) .......... maybe she's just a non-napper :( but she's just 5 months!
