Anyone know of a good sippy cup? I know my pedi will recommend one at our 6 month apt, so I thought I should ask now. Any good ones that are easy for LO's to hold and that don't leak? Thanks!
we have a couple of baby einstein ones that don't leak at all and have a handle on each side.. plus the tip part is a flexible rubber which DS seems to enjoy
only problem is he likes to chew on it and hasn't figured out if he sucks on it food will come out lol
I just asked my cousin about this the other day (she has a LO who is 8 mo old) and she recommended the Playtex First Sipster cups. They don't leak when they're tipped over, and the only way to get liquid out is to suck, so it teaches the baby to use the cup...
We just got the tommy tippee 4 month sippy cup and DD loves it. She can hold her regular bottles already though so I don't know if that helps or not. I think the milk comes our faster in the sippy cup though so she takes a few sucks, pulls off, sucks, pulls off, repeat... It's super cute.
Maybe not for the very first sippy, but we loved the Take and Toss cups because they were lightweight enough for DD to hold them easily. They have little trainer cups that are smaller than the toddler size, and they have ones with handles now. The nozzle might not be a good size/shape for learning how to drink from a sippy, but once LO can do it, the Take and Toss ones are great. They have always been BPA-free, and if you leave one at a restaurant, you don't sweat it because they are super cheap.
I really like the Nuby ones. DS is currently using the variable flow nipples, and is moving to the sippy nipples. Hopefully within a month or so he can handle the full sippy.
