Romantic Getaway places in FL

Next April my parents are going to take both kids for a week at their vacation home in Naples FL so DH and I will fly down with them, drop off the kids to my parents (maybe stay one night there before leaving) and then go away for our own week long getaway (we'll leave Naples on Sat or Sunday and come back Friday night to fly home w/ the kids the next Sat).

We are having a hard time agreeing on a place.  I was thinking we should go the keys but DH is thinking West Palm Beach.  He doesn't love the beach so he is not going to go for sitting on the beach with a frozen drink in hand for 4 or 5 days so there needs to be other stuff in the area that we can do.  I also want to keep it within a 5 hour drive from Naples but not too close to Naples. 

 What are some good places to look at?

We went here and loved it. We were only 20 minutes from it, though. I really don't know how far Naples is from us.

What about Sanibel and Marco Island?  They are about 2 hours from Naples.  You are near fort myers for entertainment, shopping and other activities.  My ILs live in Cape Coral and we go to Sanibel everytime we visit them. 

The beaches are beautiful and warm water (gulf side of FL).  The keys are pretty far from that area ~ around 6 hours just to get to Homestead FL to pick up route 1 (the only road that runs through the keys)

Marco Island is too close to my parents, but Sanibel might work.....I'll have to look into both of these places.
