weightwatchers.com and nursing moms

I read on ww.com that you can't do the online service if you are nursing - you have to go to mtgs.  I don't mind going to mtgs, but I'd like to log my points online.  Anyone know of a work-around?  I haven't attended a mtg yet b/c I wanted to explore further. Thx!

I'm doing it online, I didn't seem to have a problem signing up and get the extra nursing points on the website.

That being said, I really recommend going to the meetings, they have a plan that allows you to go to meetings and use the online tools. I did this pre-pregnancy and would do it again if we weren't trying to save a bit of money.

  • I have been doing it online since the day I came home from the hospital. I did it after my first also. But if you are not comfortable after a few days with the plan, I would recommend going to meetings. I never had a problem only doing online though.
  • Hey ladies, I have a question, too. I don't know how to set a new goal after the first one has been reached. It gave me tips on maintaining...I still have about 35  lbs. to go.

Well, I signed up and you were right - no issues at all.  However, I put in my foods for today and no wonder I'm not quite back to my pre-baby weight (I have about 3 more pounds to go and I want to lose a total of about 30 lbs).  I was practically over the generous amount of points after lunch.  Dear Lord.  I thought being at home would help me, not hurt me - no lunches out, no crazy candy bar collections in my co-worker's office, no vending machine, etc.  But, apparently, all of the cookies and cakes, etc are not helping.  Thank goodness the baby is getting a bit older and the treats are tapering down.

  • I've been working at home for the last 4 years...and it's so much harder to eat on track when I'm home all day.  Back when I went into the office, I would pack a lunch with a couple snacks...and there was no extra food to munch on.  Now, it's way too easy to snack my way through all my daily points and well into my weekly points.

Is it sad that I'm not looking forward to LO hitting 6 months, starting solids and me dropping 5 points a day?  LOL  Those 10 points also have motivated me the few times I was ready to give up on BF.  Embarrassed

    Good luck to you!

  • Working keeps you busy and not snacking. Its much harder when you stay at home.

This frustrated me too and took me a while to figure out.  What you have to do is go into the weight history and delete any weight that is below your goal weight.  Then you're out of "maintenance" and can go back and change your goal.
