Which is slightyly awkward, but she looked at DH and said, "Well since she hasn't called to make a prenatal care appointment maybe we should get you a SA, it's been over a year."
Now I feel two ways:
1. Not exactly a conversation I wanted to have at the grocery store
2. Love that I see her once a year, she is able to not only know me outside of the stirrups but also remember how long we've been TTC. She's a good lady.
DH got really red and told her we're gonna wait it out until December before we start testing, she shook her head and said if he changed his mind before December to give her a call.
Re: Saw my OBGYN at the grocery store
Wow, I agree with you...weird yet nice at the same time.
I know for a fact that my OB didn't even know who I was until she delivered my son. Now she's nice and chatty with me about him when I go to appointments, but prior to that she never even used my name!
Wow, that was totally inappropriate to say! And what about confidentiality (considering people could potentially overhear)?
But I will give you that it's nice she remembers you. That's one of things of like about my new ob-gyn. A rare find, especially in NYC! One of the reasons I hope to get a BFP before September is to be able to deliver with her (since we may move cross-country next year.)
