In cleaning up my sewing corner today I found McCall's pattern 4855 - it has a crib skirt (not gathered) and a basic valance among other things.  I'm almost 100% positive all the pieces are there since it doesn't even look like it's been unfolded.  I'm terrible about buying patterns when they're on sale for $.99!  I'll be glad to send it to you if you think you can use it.
