It seems like mine don't want as much as they used to.
My smallest one (we just figured out she has a milk allergy, but had been treated for acid reflux unsuccessfully until 2 weeks ago)....she drinks 20-23oz/day depending on the day.
My other two take 26-28oz/day
I worry about my daughter that only drinks 20-23 a day. The pedi said its fine if she is gaining weight, but she is gaining very slow over the last two weight checks. Only 1 oz per week gain.
Thanks for sharing!!
Re: Please share how many ounces your 5 months old drinks per day
my guys were good weights at birth and didnt need to gain really. but now at 6 mo they have
4tbsp oatmeal + 5 oz formula
2.5 thbsp fruit +6 oz bottle
7oz bottle
2.5 tbsp veggie + 5 oz formula
8oz bottle
so i guess they have bout 30.... now depending on how they are feeling they wont always finish thier bottles.. bc i give food 1st. so i would say anywhere from 26 to 30 oz a day. if thier weight is good i wouldnt worry to much the LOs fluctuate all the time.. also are your LOs on food yet? i saw a drastic decrease in formula one they got the hang of eating
My boys will be five months next week. I have not started solids yet...I think I am going to wait until 5 1/2 or 6 months. Right now they take anywhere between 24 and 27 ounces per day. They are sleeping through the night, and take about 6 feedings between 7am and 8:30pm.
I also worry that they aren't getting enough and their weight gain over the past couple of months has been slow. At their 4 month check up, Henry was 12.1 and Joey was 11.7. I am going to try to up their intake by about an ounce for every feeding and 2 ounces for the first am feeding.
In the new mom group that we go to, most of the other babies their age all eat about 6-7 ounces per feeding plus cereal!
