Big Scores at MoM's Sale & Some Funnies...

We are so excited!  We went to the Member's Only Annual Garage Sale for our local MoM's club and picked up two baby swings in excellent condition, two playmats, a humidifier, some bottles and assorted adorable baby hats for less than $150.  The swings alone retail for $180 a piece brand new and the playmats for $50-$70 a piece, so we definitely feel like we scored! 

Now for the funnies...My husband and another Dad-to-be nearly came to blows over a DSNG!  OK, maybe that's an exaggeration, but the other guy cut in front of us as we were checking in and verifying our membership and ran over to the strollers (which MH had already spotted and was getting ready to scout out) and "claimed" the DSNG.  Here's how the convo went down:

Other Guy: "Oh, were you interested in this one too?  Awwww, sorry man."

MH: "Well yah, I was just walking over here when you CUT in line in front of me."

Other Guy: "Well, I saw it first!"  

At this point I walked away because I could not believe what I was seeing and I didn't want to bust out laughing and bruise MH's ego, as he so courageously tried to fight for OUR DSNG !  Needless to say, Other Guy got the stroller....Oh well...

One other "funny" I guess.  I was talking to this twin Momma-to-be and asked her how far along she is.  She is 32 weeks.  I told her I am 20 weeks expecting triplets.  She looks at me and says, "Oh my gosh!  You're as big as me already!  I can't imagine how big you're going to get!"  Really?!?!?!?!  Coming from another MoM?  I just blew her off...I'm bigger than most 20 week pregnant women, yes, but a) I'm carrying triplets, b) I'm proud of my bump, and c) I did NOT look anywhere near her size!

got a feisty crowd up there in no cal, huh?!  we had our sale today too... sooo mellow.  i was a seller this time   got rid of lots of stuff, and got a few little things too.  really was fun!  i felt like a twin information booth a bit with the pg MoMs.  hilarious since i always feel so clueless about what's coming next.

you'll get your DSNG   and you did score big!

Great steals! I would have had to walk away from te grown man fight too Funny though! And OMG you look great! I'm surprised another MoM would comment like that...well nevermind there's one in every bunch. I'm definitely not as big as people told me I'd get, but I do have say I have grown the most after 30w. In the hospital last week I did tell my nurse (37w along w/ singleton) that she was nearly as big as me. Oopsie! But in my defense I was totally drugged up on magnesium!

glad you got some good stuff! Our MoM's club had their sale yesterday, too- but it was open to the public and didn't have a lot of stuff this year - we got some toys for the boys (all of them).  Last year I got a ton of matching clothes for the twins but this year all the baby clothes were for little babies.

that's funny the guys got in a scuff over the DSNG - i'm sure you can find one on craigslist! Or ask them to post what you need in your club's newsletter or email- chances are someone is about to get rid of one.
